This actually is a problem in ND7 and 8 as well...

...so it's not 8.5 Beta 1 specific. I've opened a PMR (SPR/technote pending). Hopefully this will get fixed, and not make this one of those "nice try" @Functions, ala @IfError.

The workaround is the old R5 standby: @TextToNumber(@Text(x))
